History & Establishment
Govt. Science College Malir Cantt was established on 27th September 1979 with the cooperation of the Governor of Sindh, Lt. S.M. Abbasi. The institution began its journey with limited facilities but strong determination.
The founding Principal, Prof. Muhammed Rafiq (Late), played a vital role in laying the academic foundation of the college. Under his leadership, the college secured first position in the Intermediate Science Examination in 1983.
In 1996, the institution was upgraded to a Degree College, introducing B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com programs. Today, it is proudly known as Govt. Degree Science & Commerce College Malir Cantt.
